Can the MSSIAH do....

Is the Mssiah capable of..

1) Acting as a conventional MIDI cartridge (if so, which variant? Sonus, Passport, Datel..?),

2) Synchronising to MTC from an external SMPTE source,

3) Chaining with a second Mssiah for twin channel use,

4) Operating whilst sat inside the Sound Expander keyboard-and-synth' plug-in,

5) Acting as an automator for a mixer?

That'll do for now.

Re: Can the MSSIAH do....

I'm actually a bit gutted that MIDI has been implemented on the sequencer and SYNC 24 hasn't.

I've just spent a year buying all the bits to sync to my analogue studio...(I hate MIDI)

Is anyone willing to sell me their prophet 64?

Re: Can the MSSIAH do....

I'm gutted that after all the work and time and money, firestARTers's midi interface is just relegated to yesterday's junk because they decided to disable the key feature of s24 keyboard in mssiah...

When kraftwerk started making music MIDI wasn't invented yet. We can say MIDI wouldn't have been invented without kraftwerk but it's another story wink But if MIDI was available when KW started I bet they woulld have used it!

Re: Can the MSSIAH do....

Will I be able to save sequences and patches to it without the need for a tape or disk unit or save this information through MIDI straight to my PC?

Yes.

Since Mssiah is an integrated interface/cart the answer is most likely -no.

Re: Can the MSSIAH do....

Here's a question - will the Midi component of the MSSIAH do anything with key velocity?

Re: Can the MSSIAH do....

I believe key velocity is one of the features of the MIDI interface...

From the mssiah FAQ:

"Mssiah receives full midi data like notes, velocity, control changes, pitch bends etc."
