Can you use 12 steps?

Is Drummer fixed at 16 steps? Is there anyway to change the length of a pattern like on the 909, to say 12 steps?

Re: Can you use 12 steps?

You can't.

However, why not playing 12 step rhythms arranged in 3*16th patterns:.

1--x--x--x--2--x (pattern 1)
--x--x--3--x--x- (pattern 2)
-x--4--x--x--x-- (pattern 3)

Not quite the same if it was built in and limited to whatever fits in a maximum of 8*16th chain play, though..

Re: Can you use 12 steps?

thanks ron,

that's the way I've been doing it. It's a pity you can do it like on the monosynth though, especially for more unsual time signatures like 5/4 etc.

oh well.

thanks again,

stuart
