Not sure if this forum is still active, but I will post anyway...
First time poster, long time user, got a prophet64 cart...had it for years...
recently my wife made me tidy up the shed... found all my C64s...yep 9 of them...
got the bug again...so designed this mod box for a friend on my 3D printer. Made it so it just plugs in the back of the computer and can be removed, to other units for sound testing...the box is made for the C64c and sits to the rear of the keyboard
The rear of the box has a 5 pin DIN socket and AV out, a standard midi lead is use to tap the AV and do the feedback mod. another lead will go to the joystick ports.
Out of the 6 x C64c's, on one of them, the feedback mod works way better...that one will be mine, the other will go to my mate...
Q why does the feedback mod work better on some and not on others?? (talking 8580s)...would changing the filer caps around the sid, help?? or is this not related to the feedback mod??
anyway as I have used all your great info, I feel that if anyone on the board, needs me to print out one for them as a kit, then I could be convinced...as a act of good will and give back to the bending continuity
if its cool with the dude that made it, I will do a run PCBs for the new POT mod, that InactiveX did, and offer that with the kit....designing the box is the hardest part, hitting print is the easy bit... might as well make a few more...
I will keep trying to nut out how to make feedback mod work better on the other units...I will change filter caps and see what happens...
thx again for all the good stuff you did years ago, that I have only just read...

I'm still around, looking for new posts every day.
That looks good.
If you feeback the sound and have all filters off, there should not be that much difference. But with filters on, there can be a whole lot of difference.
Please report back what happens.
I haven't even started on my project yet. All parts are till in bags and boxes :p

OK, I like the sound of that...
my midi box kit came with filters caps for both types of chips, so I will just use them, for a test...
thx again for the info!!

I am looking at making an external box with all my mods too including finally adding the feedback mod. How do you plan to connect this to your c64? via the AV connection or just jack sockets?
