I am using the MSSIAH Monosynth vst frontend called MSSIAHCC with Reaper audio recording software and a Win7 PC.
I have a problem with MSSIAHCC and my MIDI keyboard not being able to use my M-Audio usb-midi device's output at the same time. How could this be overcome?
What I would like to do is to play with my external MIDI keyboard plugged into a M-Audio USB-MIDI device while in Monosynth MIDI mode and control the sound parameters with MSSIAHCC while in normal Monosynth view.
I can do either one of these individually. However, changing between them needs rebooting the software and switching the vst's and Reaper's MIDI device settings back and forth. If I enable my MIDI device input and/or output from Reaper's track I/O settings, I can no longer enable them for the MSSIAHCC vst. Doesn't work the other way around either.
What am I missing here? Surely it can't be impossible to have Reaper send both the vst's and my midi keyboard's data simultaneously or at least switching modes without rebooting the software and switching settings tediously. Or could Reaper or M-Audio's cheap in-out midi-usb or it's drivers somehow be that limited? If so, do you have better suggestions to tweaking and playing Monosynth with midi-keyboard and vst support?
Tried extensive searching, but couldn't really find help to my problem so I decided to go ahead and ask as. Thanks for reading and helping!

Hey there kepestor.
I think you'll be more likely to get a good answer at a Reaper forum, as this is a MIDI problem and not something caused by the MSSIAH.
I don't know Reaper myself, but I hear it's coming on in leaps and bounds.
