Sid 2 silent on some instruments

I am the new guy in town. Last week i received my mssiah and sid2sid board.
I currently have two 6581s in them (sid 1 being a R4, and sid 2 being a first generation as far as i can see (No revision numbers).
The following is my problem (using the sequencer btw in midi mode)
Sid 1 works without a problem. But sid 2 keeps silent on some instruments wich arent silent on sid 1 (i tried by setting the same midi channels for each chip (123 123).
I am really wondering why this is (its kind of enoying ^^). I was already thinking that maybe it was some of my solderning work -> so i hooked the chips up to my oscillescope and on the instruments that dont do anything theres nothing but noise.
Im currently trying to get a new sid to try if that is the problem.

Any suggestions are welcome

kind regards Hendrik

Re: Sid 2 silent on some instruments

It would be helpfull if you could describe the similarities in those silent instruments. Cause perhaps the filter of SID2 is damaged. So every time the filter is used there's silence. Or an specific oscillator, waveform... Another way is to change both SIDs and listen to the results. Also the possibility of none-SID problems could be found on these ways.
