midi troubleshooting
hi there, trying to get my yamaha dx7 to talk to mssiah, it's a mk1 and only transmits in midi channel 1. it's plugged in and when i go to the black screen for midi play mode, no sound comes out. just wondering what the problem might be?

have you tried with any other midi equipment and got it working? like a computer or other midi keyboard?

I would bring a computer into the mix. If you can get a MIDI monitor program, you could connect your keyboard and see what it's sending. Velocity and Pitch messages work just fine on my mssiah.

Just to clarify, space bar to black the screen is not midi mode. but I don't think that is what you are doing. but on the off chance, I'm saying it anyway.
I hope you figure it out, I love monosynth a lot.
