I wanted to upload samples from my Macbook to the Waveplayer, and this method works.
This method should work for anyone under OSX:
- save your wav file as 8 bit (in Quicktime for example)
- use an audio editor to convert it to 6 kHz. I use Wave Editor, which is nice and not to expensive.

- download the program C6 from the Elektron site.
http://www.elektron.se/support-and-downloads
- open the file in C6. In the config meny, set the delay to 30 ticks
- send the file to the C64, et voila.

Hi I'm a Mac User-
Here is how I have been importing samples into Waveplayer
1. Grab or record sample.
2. Crop and normalize etc in Logic (as this is the DAW I use) and create an audio file. As far as I can work out it's impossible to to change the sample rate to 6Khz in Logic so...
3. ...I then import the aiff into Audacity. (it's free!) http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/beta_mac
4. Change to 8bit mono 6Khz and export as wav.
5. Change file name to prg suffix and put onto my SD card.
7. Pop SD card into my SD2iec
8.Startup MSSIAH and open file manager to change the filename to correct length .wav as described in MSSIAH manual.
9. Import into Waveplayer
I know all of that sounds a real faff but it's actually quite quick to do - and works!
Ideally I would prefer to sysex dump direct from Logic but I'm not sure that's possible.
(There's a great youtube of someone doing that here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdftHD8lb4o )
Hope that helps any other Mac Users

DOH! Just seen that speakerfood, who started this thread had been using c6...
Anyhow it works.
Easy as pie.
And both c6 and Audacity are free.
