i did my first mssiah track . its a simple remix/cover of drax' "amphetamine" . i used the drummer for the drums and percussions and the sequencer for all other sounds.
i added some delay/ reverb and a flanger (noise sound at the beginning), all other stuff comes original from two 8580R5 chips plugged on a SID2SID board .
all sounds were played via midi from my host sequencer.

i added a new link, because our server is down. i uploaded it on rapidshare.de. it's a german webhosting site. use the "free" button on the bottom right. than wait 60 seconds. than type in the 3 characters and click the "download" button.

Excellent. As well as being a great tune, this really shows off what the SID (or two) can do! Nice one!

thanks at all.

i used PE filter caps for the second SID . so each chip sounds a bit different, but there is a big stereo wideness, especially with the mono synthesizer and bassline when using the filters

at the moment i'm looking for a 6581(R4) SID. i want to build a SID2SID board with a 8580 and a 6581 like this http://www.prophet64-forum.com/viewtopic.php?id=422

I've got an 8580 on order, once it shows up I'm going to put together a 6581r4/8580 combo sid2sid so I can kind fo get the best of both worlds.

Bugger, can't get that to work either. I keep getting invalid session. I think it's because we have a load balanced connection.
