Hello,
I'm using Bassline with external synchronisation to a Macbook running Ableton Live. The Macbook is the master of the midi clock. When activating the external sync of Bassline, its tempo follows correctly the midi clock of Ableton Live. But the current pattern starts immediately when the MIDI song starts in Ableton Live.
Is there a way to pause Bassline? I mean, if I want Bassline to play the pattern only at the middle of the song, I need to pause Bassline at the beginning of the song. Currently, I found this workaround: going into Pattern mode to stop the play, and when needed I go back to Normal mode to start the play of the pattern. I'm not sure this is the best way, as I could accidentally overwrite a note.
Thanks.

You could make a pattern with no sound at all... then play the silent pattern as long as you like. When the bassline should start you simply switch pattern to the one you want, and switch to the silent one as soon as the bassline did it's job!

Ah yes, I think this could work. But this means I loose a pattern slot.

It will work just fine... and you will still have 63 pattern slots left... you think you can make it to the end of the track without that single silent pattern, mate

I've been using pattern #8 as a silent pattern on each bank for 5 years now and think it's pretty convenient. Though the overall pattern count shrinks to 56 (but think that's enough for just 8 patch presets...) muting the breadbox and restarting in time is just on my fingertips that way.

That sounds good. Thank you Flemming and ron.
