I posted a message about Entering Sheet music with the Sequencer, but using my Midi Keyboard of course with the firestarter Midi Interface.
How can I enter these notes so that the tempo or speed is right in each sequence?
Also how do I change or use the "preset" Sid instruments? I have read and reread the manual but just cant figure this out, I guess Im an Idiot.
Im using a C= 1351 mouse, also when I select from the pulldown menu "1351 mouse" then the mouse wont work at all and does funny things, what is up there? :-D Before turning on my Breadbox 64 (NTSC) I push the right mouse button to put it in the right mode and the Mouse pointer will work, should I not put it in this mode if I select 1351 from the menu?
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Activate the metronome in the audio menu. That will guide you when recording.

Use the instrument editor (via the audio menu) to select presets and edit the sounds. Editing sounds obviously requires audio editing skills... If the words "LFO" and "VCF" mean nothing to you then I'd suggest you search the net for some synthesizer basics. Unless you're happy with the built in presets of course..

Try holding down the commodore key while the program loads and starts up. That way the 1351 is automatically activated.
Check out the manual at the Prophet64.com site. It's all in there plus lots of other useful info!
you don't need to hold down the right mouse button when activating the c64. I believe this turns the mouse into "1350" mode,or some sort of compatibility mode.
leave it be and it will work as a 1351. Then when the sequencer is loading, hit the C= key and hold it until its done.
Also, recording to sequencer via midi is tricky. From what I can tell, you can't control the tempo of the sequencer while its in S24-keyboard mode (which is the mode you'd record from). meaning that you will have a hell of a time syncing it all up.
