Re: Sequencer Demo??

@MikeTorino
Thank you for sharing the Sequencer demo song.
More songs are welcome. (mono/stereo..) smile

Have to reconsider about the Sequencer. Cannot buy at the moment. Hope it isn't sold out in a few months.

NinjaTracker V2.0, released 30 August 2006
SID Factory 0.5, released 2 September 2006
NinjaTracker V2.01, released 2 September 2006
NinjaTracker V2.02, released 2 September 2006
NinjaTracker V2.03, released 3 September 2006
Gmc v2 unfinished, released 20 December 2006
Polly Tracker 1.2 plus, released 12 March 2007
X_SID, released 6 April 2007
CRD-Tracker64 (alpha version), released 9 May 2007

These are all 'tracker style', as usual with demo/game composing tools.
Polly Tracker does sampled sounds ('digis')

NinjaTracker V2.0: Mainly DUR. but can be used a bit like a tracker
SID Factory 0.5: tracker style
Gmc v2 unfinished: DUR style
Polly Tracker 1.2: tracker style
X_SID: tracker
CRD-Tracker64: DUR style

They all doesn't look/work like FT2, Protracker & friends. (I know such is the c64 world)
Who knows, if _8bit ventures_ plans to produce more music stuff for the c64, why not a renoise inspired tracker? wink

I have quite some ideas about new kinds of music tools on c64. F.ex. a drum machine in multispeed that can be used for live playing...

Re: Sequencer Demo??

I see what you mean with the difference between tracker and DUR (i.e. single notes agains pattern/block sequencing).
But what does 'DUR' stand for?

Re: Sequencer Demo??

Well, you're right MikeTorino, I can't blame anyone for trying to get all the info you can get about a new product.

But that aside, I think you are a bit oversuspicious Melle, trust us, read the manual, listen to some songs posted on the forum, and I'm absolutely positively sure you'll never regret purchasing P64.

If you want a pianoroll-editor for the C64, P64 is the only option.
If you want to really be sure you can use all the possiblilities of the SID-chip, start programming your own applications or programs, but depends on what you want, wanna be a tech-geek-programmer or a C64-sound-musician.... wink

Save up a bit, and have fun!!!

Re: Sequencer Demo??

Well said, commodork..
However, I think melle is too hung up on trackers to really appreciate the p64. But hey, who says he can't be converted..? wink

DUR = Duration

It is the way how f.ex. DMC or Future Composer works.

Re: Sequencer Demo??

Who cares about commercial releases?
The Prophet64 is practically a give-away for that price anyway!
