c128 connection to win7 pc for saving evrything

hi there,

i know there are many mods for saving and so on. but most of them i don't understand as i'm not a crack in these modding things. i'm searching for an uncomplicated way to save my mssiah files from my c128 on my win7x64 pc. is there a way to do this via a cable from c128 to pc and a little program like an emulator on pc?

thanks for helping me
greetings phil

Are you currently saving your MSSIAH files to a Commie disk drive?

If so, you could connect the C-64/floppy drive to your PC using an XM1541 cable and CBM4WIN.

I've used CBM4WIN on Win7/64 and it works very well.

Re: c128 connection to win7 pc for saving evrything

hello again,

thanks a lot! the c64tpc seems to be exactly what i'm looking for. so i scan the web to find one now ...

@inactivX no i don't save to disk now. i don't save anything but the midinotes in my daw. i have an old 1541 but no wires at all. so the direct way to pc looks better to me. but after all. if i don't get an c64tpc i'll think about your solution. thanks for your reply.

gr phil

Re: c128 connection to win7 pc for saving evrything

Was it sound patches you wanted to save, or more than that (eg Sequencer files)?

If it's only patches, then a slightly back-to-front option would be to use one of the VST/standalone front-ends (and Logic equivalents?) on your DAW, to save your patches and transmit them over MIDI. I'm pretty sure at least one of the plugins put up on this messageboard allow saving of MonoSynth sounds, I don't know about the others. Maybe there are front-ends for all the MSSIAH apps? Again, I don't know.

Good luck hunting down a C64TPC! I considered buying one recently but after seeing they weren't on sale through Cancarpet, I didn't look any further.

c64tpc is discontinued.

Right now, I'm searching for some easy means by which to take all my .arr files stored by c64tpc and use them without the c64tpc.  I bought a new computer and without being able to download the software to use my olc c64tpc, i'm pretty much screwed
