Dub Tune

I finally got a floppy drive so now I can actually start building songs up without loosing my data every power down... =/


Heres a little recording of what I've done so far-->LINK Just a little tune, not finished at all.

All was in the sequencer except the main kick and snare are from the wave player.

And I doubled up the bass track on two channels so it would be louder.

Sounds good, I like it.

I know but I like the sound of two channels better than just simply changing the volume. The waves interacting just sounds dirtier to me. Kinda why most analog synths have two oscillators not just one and volume wink

Nice!

Btw, if you use two oscillators for same instrument, try using two sid chips at same time, rather than using two oscillators in one sid chip.

I've made some quite fat bass using 6 oscillators; stereo separated. smile

The thing I did on this tune was I took the bass+bd,sn,ht instruments on one track, and the same note pattern but with another patch like the c64 bass on the second track. but I didn't put it one the second SID. Now I believe I will do that.

sounds really good. nice and clean, my c64 sounds far dirtier than this but then i am using to early revision 6581 chips. still, im loving mssiah...
