Well, since i got most functions running, the next step is to implement a sort of 'midi-dump' which allows you to load and save your P64 work via midi.
For that i am searching for a Java Programmer who could do a little programm that saves all incoming midi-bytes and send them if wanted.
I could write something like that for a PC, but Java would be damn cool cause then it would work platform independend.
There is some Midi-Backup-tool on sourceforge which might need some little changings to do the work.
But for your info: I am not searching for a SYSex dump tool! This won't work for different reasons.
So, feel free to contact me if you think you are skilled enough to do this.

Would it be possible to use something like JSynth Lib to save and recall patches?? I'm sure it won't but maybe you could use that as a basis for the program?

i can't programm in Java, so i don't know. The only thing i know is that all midi-components i know for 'delphi' and c++ are filtering out the midi data and creating events. But i need pure data without any filtering. So any patch-software won't work since theres the SYSex header/protocoll which i can't use.

Just checked it and wrote it as a feature request.
Maybe it's possible.
But still, probably someone of you is able to make it. There are midi-libratries for Java around which are probably usable.

Thanks for the info, i know all those tools, but they are useless. SYSex is not what i need and not possible!
I need something that can work low-level and uses every byte without filtering. All the programms already filter the midi-events.

My gut hurts worrying about whether or not you'll find a programmer...

Well well, then i probably got to go other ways. But of course, i will ask also other sources and friends.
Plan B would be that i develope my own soft, but then it would only be for window$....i prefer to avoid that and be platformindependend!

firestARTer, I could put out a post on linuxrockstar.blogspot.com and I bet some Linux user might be very happy to help with a platform independent interface. Just let me know what you would like to say and it's done.
