Re: SpaceAcid set 2009

No i only used MSSIAH for the drums, i also don't have sid2sid installed.
I used a Futureretro Revolution for the acid line and a SIDstation for the strings etc.

Ah, okay.. The 303 machine is very nice in MSSIAH imho; especially if you use a loop back device / tweak with it, since you will get much more resonance if handled correct..

what kinda loopback device???

can you link me to such a device? or how to make one. (I love to solder things)

I have MOS 6581 and have been absolutely DYING for some resonance.. feedback mod does nothing.

When I bought my c64c's I was expecting an 8580 but both times I got 6581 sad

Re: SpaceAcid set 2009

It's simple. All you have to do is to use one potentionmeter and a few wires.

Like this:

Code:

C64 out ---> Potentiometer -> C64 in
            |
            ---> Output

This way it will loop back to the sid chip what the c64's been sending. With the potentiometer you'll adjust how much that will be looped back.
Different results will occur depending on if you in software sets the input on or off.

This is at least what I've done and it works nice.. Some ppl put some resistors or something there too if I've understood it correct. Dunno what that's good for. Perhaps protecting the sid chip?

I've done this externally btw..

Edit:
Looks like this:

The output is on the backside of the box, and might be hard to see. But you can see some of its patch cable at least smile

Re: SpaceAcid set 2009

Thanks for the quick reply.....  I have a couple questions....

What value pot?

What pins used on pot? (Like is the middle leg used, and what side is is connected to? the in or out side?)

and how is this different from the feedback mod?

What do I ground and what do I leave ungrounded? do I use ground at all?

Your input will help me greatly.

Re: SpaceAcid set 2009

Ok then... I tried feedback but I guess it only works on 8580.

Thanks for the info
