Is anyone using MSSIAH with a USB video card that has svideo input?
That way it would be possible to use a laptop or eeepc as the monitor. Would save space and effort..
I guess it should work, but how would the quality be?
Something like this:

I've used MSSIAH with one of these:

It works really nicely.

Nice, thanks for the info.. i saw your other thread, mind sharing your s-video mod, or is it just from the A/V din from the back?
Also, can you take a screen photo of the easycap quality? And what software do you use to view the video input?
Thanks already.

Yeah I'd be glad to. I have some photos somewhere - let me dig them out.
I used points on the motherboard to get the s-video - more to come in the other thread.
I'm afraid I no longer have the EasyCAP, but they look nice and sharp, and with very little latency (none that I could notice).
My favourite video viewing software is U-Broadcast. It's nice and light and does full-screen well. And it's freeware!

I'm using Easycap too. Just make sure it's not a fake one.
Top tip : DScaler

Will check the DScaler, if it eliminates the interlacing its great.
I've stuck the easycap inside the C64 case so there's only the usb cable coming out. Next my plan is to stuck the C64TPC inside the case too. Plenty of space in the C64C case under the keyboard.

Why didn't I think of that?
Very cool!

are there any direct solder points for the normal video out? my easycap's s-video plug is broken and composite video would be enough.

Well I just soldered it to the plug's back parts. Works just fine, Easycap with EasycapViewer (unofficial!) on Mac. Nice! TV, have fun in nowhere

Can anyone post pictures of the hardware installation an also screenshots PC/Mac screen?
I am also thinking of a built-in capture card to use my laptop/pc as a monitor.
